The Mission

“To Spread the Gospel, from Melanesia to Indonesia!” is the mission of the “Eight Plus One Ministry”, established by the Children and Grand-Children of the founders of the Evangelical Church of West Irian or Evangelical Church of Irian Jaya, then Evangelical Church of Indonesia, and in the future, The Evangelical Church of Melanesia.

The Objectives

For this, we at the 8plus1 Ministry work to

1. inform the need to evangelising Indonesia and winning Indonesia for Christ to the world;
2. inform the preparedness of the children and grand-children of the late Eight persons who were first baptised as the members of the Evangelical Church of Indonesia (GIDI);
3. mobilse prayer supports, financial support and recruiting of evangelists from churches across Melanesian countries (West Papua, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu and Kanaky);
4. evangelise as many Indonesians as possible to become believers of Jesus Christ.
